Relics of a thicker atmosphere

Explanation: Several surface features on Pluto — viewed in the informally named Sputnik Planum — may provide evidence of higher-pressure epochs. All scale bars are approximately 20 miles (30 kilometers) and images are oriented with north up. Image A shows dendritic networks northeast of Sputnik Planum. Image B shows network terrain to the northwest of Sputnik Planum and image C shows a frozen pond-like feature just north of Sputnik Planum.
